After his acclaimed performance as the unknown prince in Puccini’s Turandot, Marcello Giordani returns to the stage of the Vienna State Opera as the Egyptian warrior Radames. Since then, he has sung the role at the Metropolitan Opera, the Arena di Verona, the Lyric Opera of Chicago, the Gran Teatre del Liceu in Barcelona, and the Vienna State Opera. At the Vienna State Opera, he joins a cast which includes soprano Kristin Lewis as Aida, mezzo-soprano Violeta Urmana as Amneris, Sorin Coliban as Ramfis, and Ambrogio Maestri as Amonasro. Marco Armiliato conducts the Orchestra of the Wiener Staatsoper.
